Pacific Judo Academy

Pacific Judo Academy is a volunteer-run, family-oriented nonprofit organization in the Spokane Valley area, dedicated to teaching traditional judo. The academy welcomes students throughout the year, including children as young as five who are able to participate attentively in class. Its program serves kids, beginners, adults, and advanced students, with separate class sessions for different age and experience groups. While the Police Academy undergoes renovations, practices are held at Grit BJJ, 4808 E Sprague Ave, Suite 205, Spokane Valley, Washington. Classes take place on Mondays and Wednesdays, with schedules divided between kids and beginners and adults and advanced participants.

Instruction is provided by United States Judo Federation-certified black belt instructors, and the dojo is home to several national and international champions. Students must have, or apply for, a United States Judo Federation card. A new-member package costs $140 per person and includes the federation card, a white gi, and the first month’s dues. Ongoing dues are $30 monthly per person or $50 for immediate family members.
