About PACT
PACT, the Papatoetoe Adolescent Christian Trust, is a community organization dedicated to supporting at-risk young people and their families in the Papatoetoe area of Auckland, New Zealand. Since its formation in 1995, PACT has been providing a range of services to empower and uplift young individuals and their whānau (family). At PACT, they offer a comprehensive wraparound service model, tailoring support according to the unique needs of each individual and their family.
Their services include parenting programs, counseling support, anger management programs, holiday programs, and drop-in cafés for mothers of preschoolers. Additionally, PACT works closely with local schools, providing support to students through individual mentoring, group mentoring, sports activities, drug and relationship courses, and various other support services. PACT's approach is rooted in Christian faith, but their services are available to young people of any religion or ethnicity.
They strive to create a sense of whanaungatanga (family-like connection) within their community, offering a safe and supportive environment for youth to thrive.
