About PaCT
PaCT, short for Partners for Community Transformation, is an indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to transforming communities and improving standards of living. Established in 1995 and based in Uganda, PaCT operates in seven districts, including Mityana, Mubende, Kiboga, Gomba, Kassanda, Kyankwanzi, and Kakumiro. With a strong plan for expansion, PaCT aims to reach more rural communities throughout Uganda.
PaCT offers a range of services to uplift and support those in need. Their programs focus on education, ensuring inclusive and quality learning opportunities for all. They also prioritize water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) initiatives by increasing access to clean and safe water in local communities through drilling boreholes, protecting spring wells, and installing rainwater harvest tanks.
Additionally, PaCT empowers households and youth through income-generating activities, such as craft making, tailoring, farming, and small business management. They also work to improve maternal and child health, strengthen human rights, and enhance their own organizational systems. By collaborating with professional forums and implementing long-term interventions, PaCT has made a positive impact on the lives of rural populations.
Their campaigns, such as providing safe drinking water filters and handwashing facilities in schools, contribute to reducing water-borne diseases and improving cognitive abilities among children. To support their initiatives, you can donate or volunteer with PaCT. Join them in their mission to create healthy communities free from poverty, illiteracy, and human rights violations
