Painted Skies

Painted Skies Aviation is a flight training provider based at Richard B. Russell Airport (KRMG) in Rome, Georgia. It serves aspiring pilots in Rome, Northwest Georgia, and the greater Atlanta area, including communities such as Cartersville, Kennesaw, Marietta, and Woodstock. The school emphasizes a personal, structured approach, keeping its student community small so learners can receive individual attention and mentorship. Training follows a clear path, with instructors adapting lessons to each student’s goals, pace, and learning style. Experienced, veteran aviators guide students through practical, purposeful flights designed to develop capable and confident pilots.

Painted Skies offers instruction for Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), and Certified Flight Instructor–Instrument (CFII) qualifications, as well as Discovery Flights for those interested in trying aviation. Training is conducted in modern aircraft, including the Diamond DA40 XLT, equipped with advanced avionics and a climate-controlled cabin. By combining contemporary aircraft, tailored instruction, and experienced guidance, Painted Skies aims to make flight training focused, supportive, and effective.
