Pakjesbezorgdag

Pakjesbezorgdag is a community-organised Sinterklaas gift-delivery event held annually in Zuidbroek since 2007. On the day, Sinterklaas and dozens of Pieten travel through the town in a colourful, illuminated procession, bringing parcels to recipients’ homes. Families use the event to surprise children and grandchildren, while people may also receive gifts from less familiar senders. The procession attracts spectators and has become a longstanding part of local life, made possible by volunteers and sponsors.

Residents can submit parcels at designated local collection addresses during the announced drop-off period. Each parcel must show the recipient’s full name and address, measure no more than 50 by 50 by 50 centimetres, and contain no breakable items. A fee is charged per parcel, with a reduced rate for additional parcels, and payment is made when parcels are handed in. Deliveries are made to the specified address in Zuidbroek along the event route. The organisation’s website provides information about parcel drop-off, the route, sponsorship, a raffle, photos, and ways to contact the organisers.
