Palabraquedormía

Palabra que dormía is an independent Norwegian publisher and literary magazine devoted to poetry, literary arts, translation, and cultural exchange. Based in Norway, it creates dialogue between Spanish-speaking writers and Nordic audiences, especially through connections between Spanish and Nynorsk. Its magazine brings together poetry, narrative, translation, and visual art, with issues available in digital and print formats.

The publisher also produces carefully edited, limited-edition books, presenting both emerging and established voices from the Spanish-speaking world alongside Nordic perspectives. Its catalogue includes poetry titles and literary magazine editions, available through its online shop. Beyond publishing, Palabra que dormía supports cultural outreach through readings, workshops, gatherings, and collaborations with the Fundación Alambique para la Poesía.

The project views literature as a meeting place across languages and cultures, and emphasizes editorial care, artistic quality, diversity, and respect for authors and readers. Its publications are deposited with the National Library of Norway, reflecting a commitment to preserving and sharing literary work
