About Palio di Legnano
Palio di Legnano is a brand that encompasses a series of events and traditions that commemorate the Battle of Legnano. At the heart of these celebrations is the historic parade, a magnificent spectacle featuring around 1200 costumed participants. Organized according to a set of established rules, the parade begins with a military band leading the way.
The participants, dressed in the uniforms of their respective municipalities, carry the banners in a predetermined order determined by the Palio Committee. Notably, the banner of the Municipality of Legnano is the last to pass by. Alongside the parade, Palio di Legnano offers various other attractions and activities, including horse racing and exhibitions showcasing clothing, jewelry, weapons, and accessories from the era.
