About Palladium Global Science Award
The Palladium Global Science Award is an annual international science competition focused on research that could expand the practical and economic uses of palladium. It recognizes work at theoretical, prototype and development stages, highlighting innovative applications with potential benefits for industry. The award invites researchers to submit projects exploring new ways to use the metal and supports greater awareness of palladium’s technological possibilities.
The competition’s second edition takes place in 2026, with submissions accepted from 2 March to 31 July. A total prize fund of $350,000 is shared across three nominations: Best Scientific Development, Best Scientific Article and Best Applied Concept. Applications are assessed against published criteria and competition regulations by an International Expert Council whose members have expertise in fields including chemistry, materials science, catalysis and hydrogen technologies.
Alongside the competition, the award provides information about eligibility and applications, publishes news about research and winners, and shares videos and podcast discussions.
