PALM BEACH BASEBALL UMPIRE

The Palm Beach Baseball Umpire Association (PBBUA) provides baseball officials for high school games in Palm Beach County as a sanctioned association with the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). Its umpires also officiate middle school games, fall ball, summer college leagues, and tournaments, including Torre/SACSN, Prospect Select, Junior Olympics, and Perfect Game events.

PBBUA supports officials with information and resources for joining, FHSAA requirements, training, background checks, uniforms and equipment, game procedures, and keeping a lineup card. The association shares schedules, meeting details, forms, and guidance for both high school and middle school umpires. It also explains game assignments and payment arrangements: payments for games assigned through PBBUA are handled through ArbiterPay, rather than association pay sheets. For middle school games, the association notes that a lone assigned umpire should work from behind the plate and provides fee information for one- and two-umpire assignments. PBBUA serves local baseball through officiating, practical support, and opportunities to work across a range of leagues and tournaments.
