The International Palm Society (IPS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing knowledge of palms and supporting their conservation. Connecting researchers, conservation practitioners, horticulturists, and enthusiasts around the world, the Society offers ways to learn, share expertise, and contribute to palm stewardship. Membership provides access to its community and resources, including Palm Talk, an online forum where members can ask growing questions, share garden experiences, attend live webinars, and watch recorded presentations. Members can also explore palm-related posts and travel stories and follow the work of research and conservation grant recipients.

IPS publishes PALMS, its journal featuring discoveries and research, with current issues and an issue archive available through its website. Since 1985, the Society has awarded more than $500,000 to over 120 research and educational projects across six continents, supporting work such as field studies, conservation, education, and palm biology. Its Save the Species campaigns help fund targeted conservation research.
