Pan Africa ILGA (PAI) is the African region of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA). With over 150 member organizations throughout the region, PAI is dedicated to promoting human rights and equality for LGBTIQ+ individuals. Their vision is to create a Pan African movement that advocates for bodily integrity and equal protection of human rights, regardless of culture, faith, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC).

PAI's mission is to unify and strengthen LGBTIQ+ organizing in Africa, with the goal of challenging state legislation that hinders SOGIESC-related work. PAI has experienced a resurgence in recent years, following a consultative meeting in South Africa in 2013 and a regional conference in Kenya in 2014. The current executive board, consisting of ten representatives from the continent, was elected during this conference.

PAI is registered in South Africa, where its Secretariat is located, due to the favorable legal environment. They have also developed a 3-year strategic plan based on a survey of human rights concerns within the community.
