Pando is a text-based service for parents in Pasadena and the wider San Gabriel Valley, designed to make trusted local knowledge easier to find. Instead of searching through group chats, reviews, or generic online results, parents can text questions about classes, camps, activities, schedules, and caregivers. Pando draws on a network of local parents and labels answers by their source and when they were last confirmed, helping users judge how relevant and current a recommendation may be. It may also provide clearly identified public information or ask the network when no suitable parent-sourced answer is available.

The service is designed to work without an app, account, or password; parents save Pando’s number and use it like a contact. Questions shared with other parents are anonymized, and members can choose whether to contribute their own experience. Pando is building its founding network neighborhood by neighborhood, with Pasadena places open and more San Gabriel Valley areas planned as they are ready.
