Fondazione Pangea Onlus è un’organizzazione no profit che dal 2002 lavora per favorire condizioni di sviluppo economico e sociale delle donne e delle loro famiglie attraverso strumenti quali l'istruzione, l'educazione ai diritti umani, la formazione professionale, l'educazione igienico-sanitaria e alla salute riproduttiva e la micro finanza, per la creazione di attività generatrici di reddito. In Italia, India e Afghanistan Pangea opera in collaborazione con associazioni e gruppi locali di donne che condividono la volontà di un’azione efficace che renda le donne protagoniste del loro stesso percorso di riscatto economico e sociale e che favorisca la loro partecipazione attiva allo sviluppo della comunità di appartenenza e dell’intero Paese. I programmi finanziati da Fondazione Pangea Onlus riguardano principalmente i problemi legati alle questioni di genere, in una visione olistica dello sviluppo della persona. In particolare, il target è costituito da donne, bambine e bambini, vittime di violenza, di traumi post conflitto, profughi o rifugiati, con problemi di salute e/o disabilità. Persone che subiscono povertà, ignoranza, soprusi e discriminazioni.
