Panta Rhei Vocaal

Panta Rhei Vocaal is an Arnhem-based vocal ensemble of experienced singers who provide live music for funerals and cremation services. The choir believes that carefully chosen, live singing can comfort bereaved families and give space to feelings that are difficult to express in words. Its performances are tailored to each farewell, with repertoire that can include Gregorian chant, classical works, and modern music.

Conductor Frank Litjens meets with families, and, where appropriate, the service leader or ritual celebrant, to discuss the music and shape a fitting programme. The choir’s approach emphasizes thoughtful preparation and the integration of music, ritual, and readings to create a warm, harmonious atmosphere. Panta Rhei Vocaal shares repertoire examples on its website and offers contact for families seeking music for a memorial service. The ensemble also welcomes experienced singers, with openings for tenor and bass voices, and holds daytime rehearsals. Through its performances and personal preparation, the choir aims to make music a meaningful, supportive part of saying goodbye.
