Panther Kids Wrestling Club is a nonprofit youth program serving families in the Central School District and surrounding areas. Founded by Van Holdstad, the club introduces young people to wrestling while helping them grow as athletes and as individuals. Wrestlers ages 5 to 18 train in the mat room at Central High School, where coaches teach wrestling skills alongside sportsmanship, honesty, respect, teamwork, and self-discipline.
The club offers season registration, practices, and a beginners camp for newcomers who want to learn fundamentals, build confidence, and enjoy time on the mat. Members can also compete in local and statewide tournaments. Panther Kids works with Central High School and Talmadge Middle School wrestling teams to help prepare young athletes for future school programs. The club covers physical development, including flexibility and endurance, as well as confidence and positive interactions with peers. Registration resources include club fees, forms, a membership handbook, division information, and a calendar.
