Panthers Hoop Camp is an instructional basketball camp based in Monroe, Connecticut, created to build interest in the game and help young players develop their skills. Designed for boys entering grades 4–9, the camp offers week-long sessions focused on basketball fundamentals, player development, and leadership. It is sponsored by Pete Szklarz, head coach of Masuk High School boys’ basketball, and delivered in partnership with Monroe Parks & Recreation.
Coach Szklarz brings experience as a high school and college coach and as a former Salem State University player and team captain. The camp takes place at Masuk High School, located at 1014 Monroe Turnpike. For summer 2026, Panthers Hoop Camp has announced two sessions: July 6–10 for boys, and July 20–24 with boys’ and girls’ divisions. Registration is available through the camp, and families can contact Coach Szklarz or Monroe Parks & Recreation with questions. Visitors can also subscribe for updates about upcoming camp sessions.
