Founded by Kona Farry, a passionate transit enthusiast and software developer, Pantograph quickly gained recognition after being featured on the Seattle Transit Blog and in The Seattle Times. Since its inception, the platform has evolved significantly, undergoing a major backend overhaul during the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in a new API server and an enhanced Python server application.

The user-friendly iOS app, first launched in August 2019, was completely rewritten to support these new functionalities. With a commitment to improving transit accessibility through innovative technology, Pantograph continues to provide real-time bus tracking solutions, making it an invaluable resource for transit users in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
