Its free, web-based service connects users with local businesses and encourages healthier, more active communities. Members can earn rewards by tracking an eligible activity—such as a run, walk, ride, swim, hike, gym workout, Pilates session or team sport—and uploading a screenshot from a fitness app to verify it. Activities completed within the previous seven days can qualify, with one reward available per activity per day.
Rewards include free coffees, food offers and discounts on purchases from local partner businesses, including cafés and restaurants. Users can also earn EFFAE credit: $25 for every five verified activities, with an additional $50 monthly prize for the user who redeems the most rewards. papaya accepts screenshots from fitness apps such as Strava, Garmin Connect, Apple Health and Google Fit, and does not require a smartwatch. The service is currently beta testing in Perth and is free for beta users.
