Paperglaze

Paperglaze Calligraphy is the creative business of Shannan Inman, a professional calligrapher with 20 years of experience. Specializing in pointed pen calligraphy and handlettering, Shannan creates distinctive work for weddings and other occasions, with a focus on personal, one-of-a-kind details.

Services include custom wedding invitation design, full calligraphy invitation suites, and “spot calligraphy,” which combines hand-lettered details with printed text. Paperglaze also addresses envelopes, carefully matching the lettering style to an event and formatting each address with appropriate guest titles. For event décor and wayfinding, Shannan creates signage on materials including acrylic, wood, mirrors, chalkboard, and fabric.

The business offers Bella Scriptura scripture prints featuring more than 50 Bible verses, hand-drawn with pointed pen and ink and printed on fine art, acid-free paper. Paperglaze also teaches calligraphy through in-person classes and private events, helping students develop their lettering skills with instruction and quality tools. Shannan’s work has appeared in Magnolia Journal, and she has designed invitations for notable events. Across its offerings, Paperglaze brings a personal, handcrafted approach to lettering.
