Papier forêt

Papier Forêt is a local association founded in 1991 to promote the preservation and improvement of the environment in Fontenay-le-Fleury and Bois d’Arcy, France. Its purpose is to inform and engage residents on issues affecting quality of life, sharing its environmental advocacy through meetings, leaflets, petitions, posters and other communications. The association organizes public events and educational activities in partnership with local municipalities, cultural venues, libraries and community groups.

Its programs have included exhibitions, film screenings followed by discussions, children’s activities, games, public information stands and community events. Themes explored include recycling paper, protecting trees and forests, environmental impacts of food, alternative agriculture and reducing food waste. Activities have also included paper-recycling workshops, tree-focused walks and events celebrating local environmental initiatives.

Papier Forêt’s work brings residents together to learn about environmental challenges and practical ways to address them, while making information accessible to audiences of different ages. Rather than selling products, the association focuses on awareness, education and community participation
