PA PUC is the brand behind PA Power Switch, the official electric shopping website of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. They offer a range of products and services to help consumers make informed choices about their electric generation suppliers. When switching suppliers, the choice is yours, and PA PUC provides valuable information about the switching process and how to read contract summaries.

When you choose a new electric supplier, they will notify your electric utility of the change and confirm your selection. PA PUC emphasizes that you can shop for an electric supplier at any time for your home, small business, or large business. The switch typically takes up to three business days.

To ensure customer protection in the competitive retail marketplace, PA PUC requires electric suppliers to provide a clear and concise Electric Generation Supplier Contract Summary. This one-page document outlines important terms, such as price structure, generation/supply price, savings potential, deposit requirements, incentives, contract start date, cancellation/termination fees, renewal terms, and information about the electric distribution company responsible for distribution charges. With PA PUC and PA Power Switch, you have the tools and resources to navigate the electric supplier market and make well-informed decisions for your energy needs
