Full Tilt Quilt In this five day workshop we will be playing with circles and wedges, colour and transparency. The class is based on one of Jenny’s designs (#AktersnurraQuilt) but for the Full Tilt Quilt, the circular blocks will be multiplied and flipped, cut down and reassembled to create a kaleidoscope of colour. This is also a two-in-one design where the cut-offs create a second, surprise design. Level: The class is targeted at the experienced quilter who would like to develop their craftsmanship further. Adventurous and brave beginners should also feel encouraged to apply. No previous curve experience is required, but general quilting knowledge is assumed (how to use a rotary cutter, sew with an accurate seam allowance etc.) and an eye for precision always helps. Dates & Location: ‘Get Ready!’ Session 5pm – 7pm BST (18:00 – 20:00 CEST), 4th of April, 2027 – on Zoom The in-person workshops will take place at Atelier Clos Mirabel, 3rd-10th of July, 2027 Book your room and board at the Clos Mirabel website before signing up for the workshop. About Papper
Papper, Sax, Sten is the quilting and teaching practice of Jenny Haynes, offering workshops, patterns, templates and quilting resources. Its France 2027 programme features the Full Tilt Quilt, a five-day, in-person workshop at Atelier Clos Mirabel from July 3 to 10, 2027, for experienced quilters and adventurous beginners with general quilting knowledge. Participants explore circles, wedges, colour and transparency, transforming and reassembling quilt blocks into a kaleidoscopic design, with offcuts used to create a second composition.
Instruction covers techniques including sewing curves without pins, matching seams, pressing, colour planning and quilt construction. The workshop includes a two-hour online preparation session, 25 hours of in-person teaching, PDF templates and a PDF pattern. Jenny also guides participants in adapting the design and planning quilting.
The course costs £600, with lodging booked separately through Atelier Clos Mirabel. Papper, Sax, Sten’s wider offerings include online and in-person workshops, teaching for guilds and groups, quilt templates and patterns, supplementary designs, gift cards and a blog
