Para Site is Hong Kong's leading contemporary art center and one of Asia's oldest and most active independent art institutions. Founded in 1996, it started as an artist-run space and became Hong Kong's first exhibition-making institution for contemporary art. It has since grown into a prominent contemporary art center, engaging in exhibitions, publications, discursive projects, and educational initiatives.

Para Site aims to promote a critical understanding of local and international art and societal phenomena. Over the years, it has collaborated with various art institutions, museums, and academic structures in Hong Kong and globally. Its activities have included P/S magazine, Hong Kong's first bilingual visual arts publication, and the Curatorial Training Programme, both of which have contributed to the development of art writing and discourse in the city.

In addition to exhibitions and publications, Para Site offers an International Art Residency Program since 2012 and hosts an annual international conference. It also provides an educational platform to train young curators and art professionals. These activities are made possible through the generous support of patrons, foundations, and the Government of the HKSAR.
