Dirk I. Tiede

Paradigm Shift is a captivating webcomic series that emerged in 1999, long before the term "webcomics" existed. Created by Dirk I. Tiede, this werewolf detective story began its journey on the author’s original website and has evolved through multiple formats over the years. The series has been published in several graphic novels, starting with Part One: Equilibrium and continuing with sequels that delve deeper into the narrative, including Part Two: Agitation and Part Three: Emergence, the latter made possible by a successful pre-order campaign in 2009.

Special 20th Anniversary Collection was launched in 2020, featuring deluxe editions of the original works alongside a bonus art book that showcases character sketches and comic-making techniques. Tiede’s dedication to his craft is evident in every panel, influenced by his love for Chicago and classic manga like AKIRA and Ghost in the Shell. With a strong background in commercial art, Tiede continues to impact the comic industry as an artist and educator, inviting fans into the intriguing world of Paradigm Shift.
