About Paradise One
Paradise One is an Ecuadorian biotechnology company specializing in innovation, creation, and development of services and products for well-being through scientific advancement. Founded in 2018 by geneticist Camilo Herrera, after winning the Innovation Project Open Call from the Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation in 2017, Paradise One becomes the pioneering company in genetic medicine development in Ecuador.
Using their own genetic analysis technologies, Herrera and his team create and implement personalized programs based on the patient's DNA to treat issues such as malnutrition and childhood growth, metabolic syndrome, as well as overweight and obesity. These tailored approaches have achieved remarkable results and gained recognition from the academic community.
Paradise One has emerged as a national leader in technological sovereignty, meeting Ecuador's need for technologically independent companies. In 2019, they entered the Ekos 2019 Innovation and Technology ranking, and subsequently won the Ministry of Production and Industries' Innovation Project Open Call in 2020, further strengthening their presence nationwide.
Today, the company has expanded its services to include institutional and academic projects in collaboration with partners from both the public and private sectors.
