Paragliding Nordwest

Paragliding Nordwest e.V. is a non-profit club promoting paragliding in Ostfriesland and the wider northwest German region. Based in a landscape without mountains or dunes, the club focuses on flatland flying using winch launches. Its service area extends from Aurich and the East Frisian Islands to Oldenburg, Bremen, Papenburg and Cloppenburg, and reaches into the Dutch provinces of Groningen and Drenthe. The club works closely with neighboring organizations through the northern regional network.

Members and visiting pilots can use the club’s three flying sites, which together accommodate flying in all wind directions. The website shares flight-operation updates, activity announcements and information for guest pilots, including how to register for flying. Pilots can also follow updates through an optional WhatsApp group and a mailing list that guests may join or leave themselves.

The site provides information about the club, flying areas, training, media and paragliding topics, alongside news and reports from trips and events. It also connects visitors with other regional clubs and flight schools.
