The story began in 2005 when husband and wife team, Steve Johnson and Maria Milano, planted their first grape vines, turning their passion for wine into a celebration of local grape growing and winemaking. With an appreciation and love for wine, they embarked on their journey, planting approximately 7,000 vines on 10 acres of land at Parallel 44.

Today, Parallel 44 and Door 44 produce a variety of wines made with grapes grown in their own vineyards and contracted vineyards throughout Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest.
