Paranova is a Danish company founded in 1989 and a pioneer in the Nordic pharmacy industry. Our prescription is simple: There are different prices on medicine within the EU and free movement of goods. We, therefore, buy the original pharmaceuticals from licensed wholesalers in EU countries with lower prices. We then import the products, control their authenticity against the marketing authorization for each product and each country of origin before we distribute them in Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. This way we create competitive pricing and save both patients and taxpayers money on the same, identical products. Part of MPA Pharma group Our pioneering started a new industry in the Nordics, and today Paranova is a part of the MPA Pharma group the 3rd biggest reimport group in Europe. The MPA Pharma group is based in Germany and with activities Austria as well. In both 2016 and 2017, the group revenue went over 1 billion Danish kroner with 17 million repackaged pharmaceuticals and further growth is expected.
