Parapente

PARAPENTE is a Cape Town paragliding operator offering tandem flights, with a particular focus on women and the option of experienced female instructors. Its team also includes male pilots, and flights take off from sites in Table Mountain National Park, including Signal Hill and the slopes of Lion’s Head, with routes over Sea Point. The experience is open to participants aged 14 and older, across fitness levels, and requires no previous paragliding experience. The company describes its flights as instructional tandem experiences, with pilots focused on safety, learning and enjoyment.

Customers can choose a flight-only option or add GoPro photographs and video footage; group discounts are available depending on group size. The stated flight package includes a flight with a licensed, certified pilot, the Table Mountain National Park activity permit and transport between the launch and landing locations. PARAPENTE says its pilots hold commercial tandem ratings issued by the South African Civil Aviation Authority and are qualified through the South African Hang and Paragliding Association.
