Parasol unit

Parasol unit foundation for contemporary art is a not-for-profit art institution based in London, established in 2004 to operate for the public benefit. Its work centres on supporting artists and their creative endeavours, building lasting relationships with the artists who exhibit with the foundation. Through exhibitions, projects, education and events, Parasol unit presents contemporary art and connects audiences with artists and their ideas.

The foundation also maintains an archive of past exhibitions and projects, and produces publications that extend its programme beyond the gallery. These include full-colour catalogues available online and in print, with essays, artist interviews and documentation of artworks. Its website shares exhibition information, archival material and news, while a newsletter and social media help audiences follow its activities.

A featured programme is Heidi Bucher: Centennial Events in Athens, curated by founder and director Dr Ziba Ardalan at the American College of Greece from September 26 to November 15, 2026.
