About Parat
Parat is a brand that represents a politically independent workers' organization, affiliated with the Confederation of Vocational Unions (YS). With over 40,000 members across various sectors of the labor market, Parat is dedicated to organizing employees in all professions and industries. Our main tasks include negotiations on wages and working conditions, as well as offering support and assistance to members facing different challenges.
Additionally, we provide a wide range of courses, activities, and numerous other membership benefits. Our goal is to make your working day even better. Located in Lakkegata 23 in Grønland, Oslo, Parat's headquarters have regional offices in Oslo, Tønsberg, Kristiansand, Bergen, Trondheim, and Tromsø.
Established in January 2005 through the merger of Multidisciplinary Joint Organization (2fo) and Private Employees' Joint Organization (Prifo), Parat also has nine independent sub-organizations: Parat NAV, Parat Media, Pharmaceutical Union, Dental Secretary Union (ThsF), Verit, and more
