Paraventi Giapponesi

Paraventi Giapponesi – Galleria Nobili is an art gallery and cultural platform focused on Japanese art, bringing historical traditions into conversation with contemporary creative practice. Its program includes exhibitions of Japanese folding screens and other works, alongside presentations of contemporary artists such as Asako Hishiki and Yuji Mizuta. The gallery also organizes cultural events, artist encounters, and educational activities that invite visitors to explore Japanese aesthetics and techniques.

Courses and workshops cover practices including mokuhanga, the traditional Japanese woodblock-printing method; sumi-e ink painting; Japanese bookbinding; drawing; and handmade artist books. Sessions are led by artists and instructors, with activities ranging from introductory classes to more advanced or themed learning experiences. Some mokuhanga workshops are offered online, while other events take place in person, including at partner venues. Through exhibitions, courses, and workshops, Paraventi Giapponesi – Galleria Nobili offers audiences opportunities to discover Japanese artistic heritage, learn hands-on methods, and engage with contemporary art.
