Welcome to Parco Zoo Punta Verde! We are a private zoological garden located on the left bank of the Tagliamento River, in the beautiful tourist area of Lignano Riviera. Our mission is rooted in four fundamental principles: educating the public about the animal world and the environment, conserving biodiversity through both in situ and ex situ programs, conducting research to further our understanding of biology and behavior, and offering a fun and enjoyable experience surrounded by nature. At Parco Zoo Punta Verde, we aim to educate and raise awareness among our visitors through targeted environmental education programs for both the general public and schools of all levels.

We also actively participate in in situ conservation projects, supporting endangered species in their natural habitats and promoting sustainable development for local communities. Within our zoo, we adhere to numerous European breeding programs and collaborate with prestigious institutions to advance scientific knowledge in biological and ethological fields. Our goal is to provide a pleasant and memorable day-out for people of all ages, fostering a connection with nature and promoting respect towards it.

We are proud members of the UIZA (Italian Union of Zoos and Aquariums), EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquaria), and IUCN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources). Our zoo is also part of the CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Flora and Fauna) working group and a member of the IZE (International Zoo Educators Association).
