parenDS ist eine Anlaufstelle für Eltern und Angehörige von Menschen mit Down-Syndrom. Wir bieten regelmäßig Frühstücksrunden, Abendtreffs und Familien-Events u. v. m. an zum Austausch und Kennenlernen. Wir setzen uns dafür ein, dass unsere besonderen Kinder viele andere Kinder mit Down-Syndrom kennenlernen und Freundschaften entstehen, dass die Geschwisterkinder spüren, sie sind nicht allein und dass die ganze Familie Kontakt zu anderen Familien mit besondern Kindern hat und damit gestärkt wird. Durch Aktionen am Welt-Down-Syndrom-Tag und Zeitungs-Berichte über unsere Gruppe wollen wir die Gesellschaft dazu anregen, ihre Sicht auf Menschen mit Trisomie 21 zu überdenken.

Its aim is to help families connect, share experiences, and feel strengthened through community. The group organizes regular breakfast gatherings, evening meetups, family events, and other opportunities to get to know one another. These activities help children with Down syndrome meet peers and build friendships, while giving siblings the reassurance that they are not alone.
