Parent Line NSW is a free telephone counselling and support service for parents and carers of children aged 0 to 18 who live in New South Wales. Its trained, professional counsellors offer a confidential, supportive place to discuss questions or concerns about babies, children and teenagers. The service is available from 9am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 4pm to 9pm on weekends, with a dedicated phone line at 1300 1300 52.
Parent Line provides guidance across a wide range of parenting situations, including caring for children at different developmental stages and supporting a child with a disability. Its website extends this support with parenting stories, frequently asked questions, advice and tips, news, practical resources and information about parenting courses. It also offers resources for professionals and details for emergency and specialist support services outside counselling hours. Funded by the NSW Government through the Department of Communities and Justice, Parent Line is managed by CatholicCare Sydney.
