Der Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband, Landesverband Bayern e.V., is an independent association committed to social justice and an open, diverse society in Bavaria. It works toward a region where people support one another and everyone can live with dignity, autonomy and the opportunity to participate in community life. The association is non-partisan and independent of religious affiliations, and it represents a network of around 800 member organisations across Bavaria.

Its work spans social and health services, including support for older people, children and families, people with disabilities, migrants and refugees, and those facing poverty or barriers to participation. Other focus areas include education, employment, health, care, self-help, inclusion, LGBTQ+ equality, civil society, democracy and environmental transformation. Together with its members, the association offers guidance and assistance across many areas of social work. Its online directory lists more than 2,800 services and facilities throughout Bavaria.

The organisation also advocates for social participation and democratic values, recognises civic engagement through the Luise Kiesselbach Prize, and shares news, events, training opportunities and career information.
