Parkinsonforeningen, the Danish Parkinson’s Association, supports people living with Parkinson’s disease and those close to them. Its mission is to improve quality of life and living conditions for people affected by Parkinson’s, while working toward a future without the disease. The association provides information about Parkinson’s, treatment, rehabilitation, support options and rights, alongside professional advice and peer support through its Parkinsonline.

Members can connect with others through 15 local branches, clubs, activities and events, including courses, social gatherings, training and initiatives such as Parkinson Boxing and dance. The association also offers resources tailored to people newly diagnosed, younger adults with Parkinson’s and family caregivers. It shares news and educational materials, including an e-publication covering Parkinson’s research, and supports research with annual funding.

People can participate as volunteers, become members or donate to the cause. Its online shop offers informational and practical items, such as emergency cards and materials about advanced treatment and atypical Parkinson’s.
