Parkinson's NZ, founded in 1983, is a national charitable trust dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals with Parkinson's and Parkinson's plus conditions, as well as their families and caregivers in Aotearoa New Zealand. Influenced by the Te Whare Tapa Whā Model of health and wellbeing, Parkinson's NZ aims to promote a positive approach to living with Parkinson's by providing high-quality information, education, and support for all those affected by the condition. Parkinson's is a progressive neurodegenerative condition that affects each person differently.

While there is currently no cure, Parkinson's NZ offers a range of resources and treatment options to help individuals manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life. Their services include access to Parkinson's Educators who provide personalized support, a caregiver checklist to assist caregivers in providing care, and an exercise program designed specifically for individuals with Parkinson's. To support their mission, Parkinson's NZ welcomes donations, volunteers, and offers membership opportunities.
