Parkpop

Parkpop, one of Europe's largest FREE festivals, has been a beloved tradition in The Hague for 40 years. However, the financial challenges of organizing such large-scale events have led to the difficult decision to discontinue future editions after 2023. Rising costs and post-Covid challenges have made it unsustainable to continue offering Parkpop as a free event.

To explore the possibility of transitioning to a paid model from 2024 onwards, the organizers have announced a period of evaluation. While the public may be open to this shift with very low entrance fees, the unique identity and national prominence of Parkpop may be at risk. Despite these uncertainties, Parkpop's legacy will be remembered fondly, and the door remains open for new traditions in The Hague.
