Parole et Merveilles

Parole et Merveilles is a Marseille-based association of storytellers that has shared oral storytelling with audiences since 1990. Its performers bring tales from across the world to listeners of all ages, including wonderful, humorous, reflective, and wisdom-filled stories. The association presents storytelling in a wide range of settings, including nurseries, schools, colleges, high schools, social centers, libraries, senior residences, care homes, and health centers.

Its activities also include narrated walks and storytelling teas, extending oral literature beyond traditional performance venues. For people interested in developing their own storytelling practice, Parole et Merveilles offers an introductory course and provides information about training and participation. The group also organizes encounters with storytellers, whom it describes as transmitters of oral literature.

Through performances, training, and shared exploration of stories, the association brings audiences together around imagination and the enduring meaning of tales. Since 2024, it has been a member of the French National Network for Storytelling and Spoken Arts (RNCAP)
