The Association Paroles Croisées Autour de la Mort (APCM) is an association dedicated to creating space for conversation, reflection and action around death and its many connections with life. It recognizes that although death is widely present in the media, personal responses can be difficult to express, and discussing the subject with others may sometimes feel easier than speaking with loved ones. APCM takes a broad, generalist approach, welcoming different perspectives and respecting individual choices.

The association offers activities and resources designed to encourage thoughtful exchange. These include film screenings followed by discussion, conferences and debates, and discussion groups, including one focused on end-of-life issues. Its programme also features “Cafés mortels,” gatherings centered on conversations about death, as well as documentary resources. A communications commission supports its work, and the association shares news and event information through its website. Through these activities, APCM gives people opportunities to voice personal questions, listen to others and consider the individual and shared dimensions of mortality.
