La Part des Anges Distillation is a family-founded spirits producer in La Saline, on the west coast of Réunion Island. Created in 2009 by Ludovic and Céline Maufras, it is described as the island’s first fruit distillery and began selling its products in 2010. The distillery makes fruit eaux-de-vie, agricultural rums, mistelles and liqueurs using fruit sourced from agricultural cooperatives and orchards that are certified organic or practice responsible farming.
Its production focuses on aromatic quality. The distillery uses natural, spontaneous fermentation and selects the “heart” of the distillation, the central portion of the spirit run. Its range includes fruit spirits, pure-juice agricultural rum and other specialty creations. The brand also shares serving and tasting ideas, including ways to mix or cook with eaux-de-vie.
Visitors can book guided tours of the distillery from Monday to Friday. Tours last about an hour and a half, with time for questions; adult admission is €9, and children visit free. Reservations are available without online payment.
