Partners in Flight (PIF) is a prominent collaborative network dedicated to landbird conservation throughout the Western Hemisphere. Comprising over 150 partner organizations, PIF focuses on proactive measures to preserve bird populations and their habitats before they require federal protection. The initiative employs the latest scientific research to assess and address the vulnerabilities of over 86 species identified in its 2016 "Watch List."

PIF's mission centers on two core objectives: keeping common birds common and aiding species at risk by fostering voluntary partnerships among government, conservation groups, industry, and private landowners. This strategy not only aims to reverse declines and prevent extinctions but also promotes healthy ecosystems beneficial to both birds and human communities.
