Pasteur Foundation

Pasteur Foundation UK is a registered charity and grant-making foundation that supports scientific collaboration between the Institut Pasteur and leading UK research institutions. Guided by Louis Pasteur’s belief that “science knows no country,” it works to advance research, education and new approaches to public health through mutually beneficial Franco-British partnerships. Its mission is to raise awareness of these collaborations and help address global health challenges through international, multidisciplinary science.

The foundation funds collaborative research projects and supports emerging scientists through its Young Researcher Mobility programmes and fund. These initiatives enable early-career researchers across higher education to gain experience in laboratories at the Institut Pasteur and UK institutions, with fully funded opportunities intended to make participation accessible regardless of financial circumstances. It also encourages scientific exchange through workshops, symposia and conferences where researchers can share ideas and develop partnerships.

Its work aligns with four areas: environmental transitions and health, infectious disease threats, the origins of disease, and health and disease at the extremes of life.
