Pathways Associates

Pathways Associates is a not-for-profit organisation that has worked in partnership with health and social care colleagues, individuals and communities for 40 years. Its development work focuses on achieving outcomes grounded in equality and human rights, with disabled people and families involved in shaping services from planning through evaluation.

The organisation co-produces and delivers training aligned with mandatory requirements and core capabilities frameworks, and works with partners to create tailored training packages. Its approach prioritises learning led by people with lived experience, including topics such as autism awareness, psychological services and reducing restrictive practices. Pathways Associates also supports reflection on race equality, intersectionality and unconscious bias.

Beyond training, the organisation is committed to accessible communication, venues and digital platforms, as well as long-term collaboration with NHS bodies, local authorities and community groups to improve integrated care. It aims to make its impact visible through accessible reports and annual reviews, and explores technology that can support self-directed care, accessible information and community engagement.
