Pathways Awarua is a free and engaging online resource designed to help New Zealanders improve their reading, writing, and math skills for both work and everyday life. Developed by the Tertiary Education Commission, this platform offers a wide range of products and services to support adult and young adult learners. There are six learner pathways available, including Numeracy, Reading, Writing, Listening, NumberFacts, and WordFit, each tailored to specific literacy and numeracy needs.

In addition, there are five applied pathways that cover essential topics such as the Road Code, Health and Safety, Heavy Vehicle and Forklift certifications, My Money, and My Community. For educators, Pathways Awarua provides valuable resources, including guidance on how to effectively integrate literacy and numeracy into teaching practice. There are also cultural competency pathways, digital literacy resources, and support for Universal Design for Learning.

Pathways Awarua is a collaborative effort, developed in partnership with various organizations, including the Ministry of Education, New Zealand Transport Agency, and Auckland Council Libraries, among others.
