Patinaai Osim is a non-profit organization founded by Semerian Sankori, a Kenyan native from the Maasai pastoral community. Growing up in her community, Semerian witnessed the harmful impact of retrogressive cultural practices on girls and women, such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), early forced marriages, and lack of access to education. In response, she established Patinaai Osim in 2010 with the aim of advocating for the rights of Indigenous children, women, and youth.

Through various programs and initiatives, Patinaai Osim works towards empowering these marginalized groups. They focus on education, providing peer-to-peer learning, mentorship, and counseling to facilitate academic success. The organization also advocates for sexual and reproductive health, ensuring access to hygiene products, facilities, and comprehensive education.

Moreover, Patinaai Osim promotes sustainable livelihoods by assisting vulnerable women in creating alternative income sources and offering skills development and training opportunities. They also prioritize environmental sustainability by supporting the conservation and restoration of ecosystems in indigenous communities.
