Paula Cole

Paula Cole is an American solo recording artist and songwriter whose work blends expressive vocals, thoughtful songwriting, and a wide-ranging musical sensibility. After studying at Berklee College of Music, she moved from performing jazz standards toward autobiographical songs shaped by an interest in psychology, dreams, and the inner life. Her early years of independent recording and self-production helped form the sound and creative perspective heard across her catalog.

Cole’s releases include Harbinger, This Fire, Amen, Courage, Ithaca, Raven, and American Quilt, alongside collections of ballads and other projects. Her website offers music and merchandise through its store, as well as discography information, mailing-list subscriptions, VIP experiences, and tour updates. She continues to perform live, with dates including shows marking the 30th anniversary of This Fire.

A featured project, SONIC MEMOIR: DEMOS 1989–1998, gathers 63 tracks across two volumes, presenting rescued and newly mixed recordings from her formative years. The collection offers listeners a closer look at the experimentation and self-production behind the artist’s early development.
