PAVF

The Prague Audiovisual Endowment Fund (PAVF) supports the visibility of Prague through film and other audiovisual work, while encouraging the sustainable development of the city’s local audiovisual industry. It aims to attract Czech and international productions and promote green filming practices. The fund provides financial grants through competitive calls for feature films intended for theatrical distribution abroad, as well as projects and series made for foreign television, video-on-demand platforms, and subscription streaming services.

Special calls also support student projects with the potential to participate in international festivals. A key requirement is that Prague is genuinely represented as Prague in the work being filmed. PAVF announces funding opportunities, publishes information about supported projects, and shares application and grant-management resources.

Its support has included projects filmed in the capital, helping present the city to audiences beyond the Czech Republic. The fund is located at Mariánské náměstí in Prague and operates in both Czech and English, connecting audiovisual creators with funding opportunities that contribute to Prague’s cultural profile and production environment
