Pet and Wildlife Rescue (PAWR) is a registered charity serving the municipality of Chatham-Kent, Ontario. Its mission is to raise animal care standards and promote respectful relationships between people and animals. The organization supports more than 3,000 animals each year through a range of community services and programs.

PAWR helps find suitable homes for surrendered and abandoned pets through fostering and adoption, with adoption programs for cats, dogs, small animals, and working cats. It also provides temporary care for local pet owners in distress and operates a pet food bank. Volunteers assist orphaned and injured wildlife, while the organization’s municipal contract covers animal control and pound services across Chatham-Kent.

Additional services include pet licensing and microchips, vaccinations, spay and neuter support, assistance with stray and feral cats, and trap or carrier rentals. PAWR offers shelter programs, educational presentations for schools and clubs, and opportunities to volunteer or foster. The charity welcomes donations, event sponsorships, and community support to help provide care and safe shelter for animals
